Semester 2
The Glance We Played Across Open Ground
We changed campus in second year. Our classes ended up opposite each other, and the whole arrangement became a hide-and-seek I was playing without deciding to play it.
Memories
New campus. Her class opposite mine, in a way I could see from mine
I knew her routine — she would come out after lunch and speak to her mother. Every day
I would look when she was not looking. That was the whole game, and I was losing it
We did this for two to three months
My friends figured it out. They started asking. She asked me directly, "What's happening?"
I told her the truth — that I thought I was liking it
My friends went and spoke to her. Genuinely, they never liked talking to other girls. They did it because they love me
By the end of second year, her name had become the first thing in my head and I still had said nothing
